Words of Encouragement

Where are our hearts today? Are we laying up treasures upon earth, or in heaven? We should make doing the will of our Father in heaven our "treasure" today, and serve our Lord Jesus Christ so that we may lay up treasures in heaven.

In Matthew 6:19-21, Jesus effectively asks us a very important question!

19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

Let us pray.

Lord God, our Master and Savior, we come to you in thanksgiving of all the blessings that you have given to us. We pray that we will remain faithful unto you and that we remember to lay up "treasures" in heaven and not upon earth. Thank you for your love for us by sending you only Son.
