Words of Encouragement

November - 12 - 2006

In a world where we can feel so isolated and alone at times, it is so important for us to know that someone is praying for us and for our spiritual needs. There can be no better prayer than the one that Paul prayed for the Colossian friends he had never met.

Let us read Colossians 1:9.

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Let us go to our heavenly Father in prayer.

Oh precious and divine Father, today we pray for the other believers who come before you and seek to live for you. Even though we live all over the world and have all sorts of needs, we all know that our deepest need is to know and live your will and to be confident that we are known and loved by you. Please fill all of us with the knowledge of your will through your Spirit-led wisdom and understanding. We want to know you, honor you, serve you, and ultimately see you face to face.

In the name Jesus, we pray.

Amen.
