Words of Encouragement October - 26 - 2003
There are two simple truths:
1) The person who continues to live a life caught up in sin is of the devil.
2) The Son of God came to destroy all that the devil stands for. So, I guess the issue isn't as complex as we sometimes make it, which leads me to a final thought: Who are we going to side with in this heavenly war?Let us read 1 John 3:8.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Let us pray.
Almighty and victorious King of the Ages, you are the only rightful ruler of our hearts. We pledge our allegiance to you. Please help us as we seek to lay aside our struggles with sin and empower us to live for you in unwavering loyalty.
In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray.
