Words of Encouragement

What is the greatest treasure in our lives? Where are our hearts? Perhaps one of the biggest competitors with our love for God is the love of money and the things it can buy.
Consider the warning Jesus gives in Matthew 6:19-21.
19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal,
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."Let us pray.
Lord, Father help us search our hearts and rid ourselves of loving money instead of loving God with all of our heart, soul and mind. Help us treasure our God by serving the Lord Jesus Christ with an humble, grateful and joyful heart in this wonderful, eternal, kingdom of his.
In Jesus' name we pray.
