Words of Encouragement

One of the key realities of Christianity is belonging. We belong! We belong to God. We belong to Jesus. We belong to Jesus' body, the Church. We have a place and a purpose in that body. We belong! We are needed! We have a job to do! We belong!!

The Bible reading today is Romans 12:4-5.

4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

Let us pray.

Help us, Father, to find the place where we're suppose to fit into your body. Until then, we pledge to try all sorts of ministries so that your Spirit, and not just our own preference, will guide us into your place for us to serve. Thank you for giving us a place to belong.

In Jesus' name we pray.

Amen.
