In Jesus' mind, what is the most important commandment for us to obey? A lawyer asked him this question once. The answer that Jesus gave tells us that the first priority of our heart today must be to love God with all of our heart, soul, and mind!
Let us read Matthew 22:35-38.
35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, to test him.
36 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
37 And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
38 This is the great and first commandment."Let us pray.
Our gracious Lord and heavenly Father, help us today to love you more. This we will do because of the amazing love and grace you first gave us.
