Words of Encouragement

July - 29 - 2007

We should all be so thankful for Paul's confidence as he faces his death. When he was all but abandoned, his concern was towards the future of the Church. He knew but two things: he had served the Lord faithfully and the Lord would receive him when he died! Shouldn't those two things be our most important goals in life? So if they are our goals, how do we live each day to fulfill them?

Let us read today; 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith;
8 in the future there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Let us pray.

Faithful and loving God, You have so richly blessed us with the salvation plan through Your son Jesus. We are sometimes weak and falter in our faithfulness. Please be with us and strengthen us to remain faithful unto You. Please give us strength and courage to live faithfully and passionately for You until the day we see You face to face and share with You in Your glory and victory.

In Jesus' name we pray.

Amen.
