Words of Encouragement

Water and Spirit -- they track together as key components in conversion and the new birth throughout the New Testament. One is an act of submission and surrender. The other is a gift and reminder that only God can make us new by His power. No wonder Jesus made them so important to being a part of His Kingdom.

The Scripture reading is from John 3:5.

Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Let us go to our heaven Father in prayer.

Holy and righteous Father, we acknowledge that our best efforts often fail and our consistency isn't always consistent. That's why we're so thankful you have given us your grace in Jesus and made us new by our spiritual birth into your family.

In Jesus' name we pray.
