Words of Encouragement February - 22 - 2004
How much does Jesus love us? Jesus laid down his life for his disciples, and for both you and me! There is no greater love than this! Yet, more than this, he chooses to call all his faithful servants his friends! It is this love that should motivate us to serve him today with all of our heart, soul, and mind, and rejoice in having him as our eternal friend!
Let us read John 15:13-15.
13 "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.
15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you."
Let us go to our heavenly Father in prayer.
Our Father in heaven, we come to you in thankfulness for your many blessings that you have given to us. Knowing that you sent your only Son to come and die for our sins, gives us a feeling of love that only you can give. We ask you to help us to remain faithful in days of temptation.
We pray in the name of Jesus, your only Son.
