Words of Encouragement January - 05 - 2003
As we think about the new year 2003, we have no idea what lies ahead. We only know that God will go with us if we will ask him on our journey and seek to follow his will. So we find in Joshua 1:9 that it is not only a promise to us, but also a command! We must look at 2003 as an opportunity to serve God and not as something to fear!
Joshua 1:9 reads:
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Let us Pray:
Holy and Almighty Father, we thank you for being with us as we begin this new year. Please empower us with your Spirit to greet it with passion and excitement for the opportunities ahead. Please forgive us when our own inadequacies and the unknown ahead of us make us fearful and indecisive. Give us courage to live boldly for you this year.
