Words of Encouragement January - 04 - 2004
2004 is here! Let us set our eyes and focus on Jesus. We must remember that He is always there when we need him. There are many worldly struggles that we meet daily. Here Paul warns us about ideologies that compete for our attention and focus!
Let us read Colossians 2:8-10.
8 See to it that no one makes a prey of you by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the universe, and not according to Christ.
9 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily,
10 and you have come to fullness of life in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.
Let us go to our heavenly Father in prayer.
Father in heaven, be there and not let other things distract us from having our hearts and minds set on Jesus Christ, who is the most wonderful Savior there could ever be! Instead, help us serve him with vigor and joy knowing that his way is the greatest and most rewarding way there is for our lives today!
In our Saviour's name we pray.
